Fasting in the United States is not widely exercised like it is in foreign countries. In other areas outside the U. S., it is used don’t just for weight loss, but for mental and spiritual health. But if you’re looking for a quick way to lose tons of weight with no hours at the gym, going on a fast may be just the ticket. But is fasting for a day healthy? It is whether it is done right.

If it helps most people drop a few pounds, gets you on course on your new diet and exercise routine, and you rid yourself of harmful toxins, then absolutely. If you take off eating almost everything in sight after your fast, then no, fasting is not for you.

To prepare yourself for the day from fasting, gradually cut back on milk products, caffeine, and alcohol. Stay warm. Either lower that thermostat if the air conditioner is usually on, or crank the heat if it’s cold out. Stay hydrated.
Fasting isn’t really for everyone, and it is not easy. Undoubtedly, you can drop several bodyweight, and you’ll see the results over the scales immediately. But a lot of us, after the fasting period, will ingest in even more unhealthy calories than they did at first, and the pounds will come lower back over night.
But if you don’t have much time and have to lose a few pounds in a very short period of time, fasting can perform for you. The downside can be that you have to be careful not to put on more weight the days following a quickly, and it is a bit uncomfortable.

So if you absolutely must lose a few pounds in an extremely short period of time, fasting for a limited time frame will drop the weight like no other weight loss program.
